Dr. Terry Smith

Dr. Terry M. Smith received a Bachelor of Science in Natural Sciences from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 1997.  In May 2001, he graduated with honors from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry after a clinical rotation in Ocular Disease.

Dr. Smith is a member of the American Optometric Association, the Pennsylvania Optometric Association and the IALVS.  He underwent training in Low Vision Optometry with the renowned Dr. Richard Shuldiner in Southern California.  This training allows him to help patients perform tasks like reading, doing artwork, using a computer, and even driving in certain cases where standard glasses and contact lenses will no longer provide adequate help.  This is done through use of various forms of prescription magnification (wearable telescopes, etc.) and coordinated care with occupational therapists and driving rehabilitation specialists.

In his spare time, Dr. Smith enjoys exercising, Taekwondo, working with his local church, and spending time with his wife Stephanie and their two children.
